Amber Lowther is a journalist, digital content producer, host, podcast expert and educator based in Brisbane, Australia.
Amber worked in a magazine during and after graduating with a degree in Journalism and Fashion at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). In her time, Amber has created custom publications for shopping centres around the country, as well as leading editorial meetings and the digital department.
Amber jumped ship into radio in 2015. Starting out as a news intern quickly saw Amber progress into being a weekend announcer for the Hit Network and, a National Digital Content Producer across the Hit Network and Triple M Network. She worked across national shows and Hit Entertainment’s web page, as well as writing digital content surrounding on-air news briefings and leading social content for key LiSTNR podcasts.
Social media management and content creation have played a big part in Amber’s career, and she has worked with multiple brands for over 10 years and continues to do so with her personal UGC offering and in-house content creation services for businesses around Brisbane and Gold Coast.
Amber is a guest speaker on podcasting at the College of Arts Melbourne for creative entrepreneurship students and has conducted seminars on podcasting for budding audio professionals. She was also the voice behind a daily celebrity gossip microcast for Are Media.
Drawing from her experience in podcasting and digital media, Amber started PLAY Media to provide a full suite of podcasting, copywriting and social media services to businesses and beyond.
